Special Considerations for Membership
The Gorge Vale Golf Club has a long and historical relationship with Canadian Forces and RCMP. We are pleased to honour this relationship with Special Considerations for membership at the Club.
Any full time (Regular Force) active Canadian Forces military personnel (non-civilian) will be eligible to have payment of initation fees deferred on a one-time basis. Any retired Canadian Forces military personnel who were 'Honorably Released' as noted on their 'Release Message (RTNM)' and are receiving a full military pension as noted on their 'Record of Service', will be eligible to have the initiation fees waived on a one-time basis.
Leave of Absence (LOA)
A member who is unable to play golf may request a leave of absence. Initial leaves of absence may be granted for a minimum period of six (6) months. Subsequent leaves of absence may also be granted for a minimum period of twelve (12) months.
Exception: Minimum periods are waived for full time active Canadian Forces military personnel upon proof of re-assignment or deployment.
Any full time active RCMP officer (non-civilian) will be eligible to have payment of initiation fees deferred on a one-time basis. Deferred initiation fees only apply to membership categories Full, Reduced and Intermediate.
