The golf course and clubhouse serve our members, guests and groups who utilize the facilities.  Our dress standard helps ensure members and guests of the Club have an enjoyable experience.  

It is our expectation that members adhere to and inform their guests of the dress standard, that event convenors inform their group of our dress standard and that staff inform members and guests of our dress standard.  


Golf Course:

Men - Gorge Vale Golf Club has adopted the current BCGA Standard Dress Code.
Women -Gorge Vale Golf Club has adopted the current BCGA Women's Dress Code


Clubhouse:
Acceptable attire is expected at all times unless otherwise designated by the General Manager, for theme nights and/or private events.

  • Golf shoes are not permitted inside the upper level of the clubhouse.
  • Hats, caps and visors are not permitted inside the upper level of the clubhouse.
    Exceptions:
    • Religious or medical conditions.
    • Theme or special events as authorized by the General Manager.

Men
Acceptable attire includes: full length slacks, denim, jeans, plus fours, tailored rugby pants, tailored golf shorts and golf shirts.

Dress Standard does not include: cut-offs, sweat pants, warm-up pants, sport uniforms, muscle shirts. Numbers or offensive illustrations are not permitted on any attire.


Women
Acceptable attire includes:

  • Tops:
    • Polo shirts with or without sleeves. Sleeveless shirts with or without collar but must have minimum 4 inch seam at the shoulder.
    • Dress T-shirt with or without collar or sleeves including V-neck, Mock neck and Turtle neck.
    • Tops may be worn tucked-in or un-tucked but midriff should be covered.
  • Bottoms:
    • Pants, denim, jeans, capris.
    • Skorts or shorts MUST reach a minimum length at end of wearer's fingertips when arm is placed straight down sideof body (person to stand straight with arms at sides - hem of shorts or skorts MUST extend below fingertips).
